Chelsea sacked manager Andre Villas-Boas a while ag now after the Portugese coach fell out with the majority of the chelsea changing room andcreated tactics not suited to the players at his disposable or the oppisition capabilities. After a torrid run that culminated in terrible displays away in Napoli and West Brom, Abromovich disposed of him giving assitant Roberto Di-Matteo the job as cartaker manager until the end of the season. Di-Matteo started by getting all the key players on his side and reverted to tactics more familar to the squad, the result was immediate success. During his short spell at the helm he has guided Chelsea to herioc aggregate wins against Napoli and more recently Barcelona, where a defiant Chelsea side beat Barcelona at home then went on to draw at the Camp oagainst the odds with ten men and a penalty given against them. Losing only one game in his spell and taking the side to two finals he has done his chances no harm of being named next permanent manager. Who knows what is in the russian billionaires head but one thing is for sure if chelsea win the holy grail of the Champions league on 19th may he must become the next manager.There is also a lack of other real contenders with Romans first choice of either Jose Mourinho or Guardiola both seeming as if they are not interested.

what seems common sense to you isn't for abramovich. If di matteo wins the champions league he will stay. Otherwise there's a high chance he will not stay. This is abramovich philosophy and probably the only way he will give di matteo a permanent place. Don't forget that the russian likes "famous" names for coaches.. Therefore even though it might happen @ 1.57 i think the odds are poor. However good luck with your bet ;)
