ROMAN KREUZIGER TO PLACE ON TOP 3 @3.25, THIS ARE EW TERMS 1/4 AT 1,2,3 PLACES

Final result: 0 - 1
Profit: 0.00 - 5 = -5

Giro d'Italia is a race you must all have heard of.
It is probably the hardest race considering the mountains of the 3 top races: Giro, Tour and La Vuelta. It's three weeks of non-stop exhausting, so the strongest player should be the one winning. This year something strange is happenning... First 3 stages will be ran in Denmark, probably because of money issues, and then the cyclers will fly to Italy.
Kreuziger is probably the most stable runner on the mountains right now. He may not be winning many stages because he doesn't like the close ends, but he is always there and doesn't give many seconds to his opponents.

He does have very strong opponents. The italians Michele Scarponni and Ivan Basso will be there to fight with him.
They both are on a way worse shape than they were on previous years. Scarponni hasn't showed the strnegth he did so far, although he is the defending champion and you never know how he will run. His performances this year haven't been as in others years, where he managed to win Trentino in 2010 and Tirreno in 2009 and 11, this year he placed 44th on the first and 9th on the second.
Ivan Basso was already disappointing last year when he tried to focus on iwnning the Tour and did nothing, and 20011th Tour wasn't that competitive as previous ones.
This runners are 32 and 34, and although this isn't a key factor against most cyclers, it seems to be affecting them.

Frank Schleck is here too. He just knew about it last week and I don't think he is ready for it. I don't expect a great performance from him, because he wants to do it at Tour, and will probably try to save energies here when problems start to arise.

Probably José Rujano is the most dangerous this year. He is in great form and is very good at the mountains. He is just bad at the individual time trials, and there's two of them this year. I was thinking of betting on him but finally decided not to, because he is often irregular and I don't like that in a runner.
Now he will go and win it all but...

Roman Kreuziger is the bet from Team Astana for this race. He was fifth last year and is having a very good year on this one. He has had great races so far, 6th at Trentino and 6th at Romandie, 17th at Paris-Nice and 3rd at Tirreno-Adriatico.
The team is devoted to help Kreuziger win this race and I believe they have everything to do it.

Those are tha favourites, other names are there to take their chances and may be crown winners but I will not analyze them all...
I believe Kreuziger is stable enough to beat the 2 italians, because they are the real danger. Our 26 years old runner will have a hard work, but he has proven that his age is not a factor against him. Most cyclers are on their best at the late 20s - early 30s.

I will split my bet on 2 bets. Since betting on EW on normal bookies makes you pay same stake as betting to winner, I will put:
-2 stakes on Kreuziger to win @10 at William Hill, bwin, StanJames, Ladbrokes... almost all bookies have the same odds here, just check on yours.
-5 stakes on Kreuziger to finish on top 3 @3.25 at bwin. This is strictly a 1/4 EW 1,2,3 bet that you can find on other bookies, like on William Hill, but bwin offers us the chance of betting on it without betting on outríght winner, so we can use different stakes.
I hope Kreuziger doesn't put us down, and that he doesn't get any injury on the way to be crowned 2012 Giro d'Italia winner!

Nice tip! 1

While most bookies dropped the odds on Kreuziger to win by this time, odds on him to place on top 3 are still the same on bwin.
