London (+4) v Bradford
The bookmakers have this priced up as a close match, but I am not so sure. In their respective challenge cup matches last week, Bradford went down gallantly away at Warrington whilst London coughed and spluttered over the winning line against lower league Batley.
Back in the Sobart Superleague, Bradford look like a side in the ascendency despite thier off-field financial distractions. They are putting some performances together and are a match for any side in the division currently.
The Broncos on the other hand have lost their way a little fater a good start to the season. In their last three league games, they've been caned by Hull KR and Leeds away and were also beaten by Catalan at home. Prior to that their home form was good, but I feel confidence will be low after a scare at Batley and consecutive losses in the Superleague.
The Bulls away form is arguably better than their home form. They have some of the top sides close, and in their visit to Hull KR they won the game 24-36 (Broncos beaten 44-16). Prior to their narrow defeat at Hull, they had won their previous 3 away games.
I fancy the Bulls to win this game and cover the small -2pt handicap.
team Batley and even though Bradford lost last week, they have been showing really good glimpses of form. They have a very big pack and they will continue to play well with the inclusion of Luke Gale at half-back. This is a pretty important game for London to show the confidence they gained last week but I favour Bradford, who are starting to move in the right direction.
Warrington v Salford (+24)
Keep in mind that Salford won this corresponding fixture last year, which was a big upset, so beware. The Wolves are improving every week but are not quite where they were at this stage last year, although they have had some key players out. Salford's biggest problem was the tough game they had with Leeds, so can they back up? I would have to side with Warrington to cover at home as they can score points.
