Wide open competition with FURY deserving the vote under today's conditions & price. He was third in the Lincoln and second in the Spring Cup on a soft ground. Both these last performances are good enough for this event if he appears in thesame mood. He is Course winner, and will appreciate this soft ground. Ofcourse he has to deal with his Handicap, but I believe he has the Class to do so. I found his last run very promising for this longer trip. He was back of wall of horses in the closing stages, but he came very strongly when day light to finish second 1/4L away to Captain Bertie. He has been four times beaten favourite since his last win (02 Oct 10), and probably it's time to return to the right path. Circumvent and Spanish Duke are opponends to respect. Anything above 5.00 is fine.
