This match is very important for both teams as they both need points to fulfill their objectives, but nevertheless this match is more important for the guest PSG as they are still in the title race against Montpellier. Valenciennes are still not mathematically safe but with three matches left to play and six points of advantage from the last team relegating and having five more teams under them in the table is more that clear that at 99% they are safe and their season could be called over. On the other hand this is not the case with PSG as they are still in the title race which seemed closed until Montpellier made a false step and dropped points at home against Evian. So now Montpellier is just three points above Paris and if PSG want to fight for the title until the end of the season they must not make any mistake and hope for Montpellier to drop again points in the remaining matches. This match will be very difficult for PSG as the home team of Valenciennes is a very tough team to beat at home and from 17 matches have lost just 4, but nevertheless I believe that PSG is a better team and they have more motivations now to play strong against an not so motivated team.
