League: Mutua Madrilena Masters Madrid
8 POINTS BERLOCQ BEAT GRANOLLERS (ATP TENNIS MADRID) @1.83 STAN JAMESFinal result: 2 - 1
Profit: 0.00 - 8 = -8
Marcel Granollers Takes on Carlos Berlocq in the Madrid Open and under normal circumstances I would have Berlocq as the favourite by a long way and this match is currently around evens if you take the top odds so there looks a lot of value in Berlocq but he has retired through injury in his last 2 tournaments The US Clay tournament and Monaco and this is a risk if his injury hasnt healed completly. For this reason we need to take this bet with a bookie who voids the match if a player has to retire.
Apart from this injury Berlocq has played very well and on clay has played 18 matches winning 12 and has reached the final in Vin delMar in Chile, and the quarter final in Brazil, Buenos Aries, Acapulco and the US Clay (before his injury) so he has been playing some good tennis this year.
Granollers has not been playing well this year and with his 11 ATP tour matches he has won just 3 and he would normally be unlikely to win this match under normal circumstances.
in this match we have 3 outcomes
1) Berlocq will pull out before he starts his match - our stake is returned
2) Berlocq starts the match and his injury flares up again and he pulls out - If you go with a bookie that voids the bet if a player retires due to an injury then again our bet is returned
3) berlocq is healed and his injury does not concern him and if so he should win this match.
In this instance please use a bookie who voids the match if an injury occurs and the player pulls out as it could happen here and although the odds are lower it does give you that safety - Some of the bookies who have this rule are Stan James, Bet365, William Hill and Pady Power but IM sure there are others
