William Hill is still offering good odds for this game, and I take them.
Granollers is not playing up to par on his singles games, he just plays awful and is not finding the confidence he needs. He wasn't even able to win Tunis Challenger this weekend, and he showed poor play against opponents that were supposed to be much worse than him.

But there's only one reason for that... He's focusing on his doubles!
I've said it some times, and failed to apply it to myself. It's risky to bet on Granollers singles games this season because of his doubles trainning.
But doubles is giving him good results. Together with Marc Lopez they have beat some of the most stablished pairs in the circuit and have shown they are capable of doing a great game.
They can beat almost anyone right now, and given they are at Madrid this time and that spanish people like this guys a lot, because they play for the spanish team in Davis Cup, I expect a lot of support from the assistants, and a lot of cheering.

In front of them we have Milos Raonic, the surprise in Barcelona, and Victor Troicki, who is showing a good clay season this year.
They just don't play doubles that much. Raonic doesn't do it because even if he has improved a lot, his volley is still lacking and I don't see him having a great tennis near the net. His outstanding serve is not as usefull here, although it will be hard to break his serving anyways.
Troicki had surprising results in Monte Carlo when playing with Wawrinka, beating the indians Bhupati and Bopanna, but at that game the indians didn't even try. Troicki is not that good at doubles.

Marcel and Marc should have a clear path to the next round here. They are in dobules to win, not just to chill out, and 1.57 at William Hill are good odds for them.
