Birmingham - Blackpool

BLACKPOOL TO QUALIFY

Blackpool won the first leg at home 1-0 and now will play in Birmingham with a one goal advantage. In these playoffs, unlike in other competitions, an away goal doesn't mean anything really so if Birmingham win for example 2-1 it will go to overtime but still I am willing to see Blackpool at least drawing the game or winning after overtime if they will have to play it.

First of all, Blackpool deserve it. They ended the English Championship with seven games without a loss. Birmingham wasted many opportunities to win games, for example, when they were winning against West Ham 3-1 and then drawn the game 3-3, also they scored first goals of the matches against Brighton and Ipswich and still ended the matches with results 1-1.

Also consider one interesting fact: only in three times out of twenty three the team which ended the competition in the fourth, not fifth place, won the playoffs. This isn't something you should rely on, I'm confident about this one because I trust Blackpool a lot more than Birmingham and I believe they will manage to go through.
