They faced two weeks ago at Bucharest and the French player has won in two sets as did in 3 from 4 past matches and I see the same thing today, meaning the French to impose in straight sets and not allow more then 8 games to the Italian player.
Fognini although has made some decent wins in last weeks has no weapon to trouble the French consistent game from baseline and also lacks the patience to make Simon lose his rhythm.
Simon is coming with a good moral, should make a good run at Madrid also and most likely send home the Italian after two easy sets.
