CALL THE POLICE TO WIN @ 11/4
Final result: 0 - 1Profit: 0.00 - 6 = -6
Some decent end of season prize money has attracted a strong field for this year's renewal of the AON Grade A Handicap Chase. Quite a few making their hadicap debuts against the more experienced horses and the one that should take all the beating is Willie Mullins' CALL THE POLICE. A top class novice who finished 3rd in the RSA at the Cheltenham Festival who was probably still feeling the effects of that race when slightly underperforming in the Powers Gold Cup won by Flemenstar at Fairyhouse later. But I fully expect him to show his true running today and with everything in his favour, he can win this tough contest.
Of the others, Medical Card and Crash are both improving sorts and there's not much to choose between them based on their run in a Grade 2 at Naas.
A really nice sort is Ninetieth Minute who was a comfortable winner over today's distance at Fairyhouse and must enter calculations if over his fall in the Irish National.
Foildubh was no match for the incomparable Sprinter Sacre at Cheltenham, but went on to win here last month and may have more to give.
For me, it's Willie Mullins and Ruby Walsh to plunder another top prize with Call The Police.
