In my opinion the odds are way to good to pass up this opportunity. The bookies rely on (seemingly) current form. Atletico are unbeaten in 7 games, while Bilbao haven't managed to get a win in the last 3 rounds. But this can be explained: Atletico still had chances to catch a Champions League position in Spain and they concentrated on achieving this, playing fully motivated and utilising their first 11. Their opponents from tonight however, while still having a chance for an Europa League spot, were clearly focused on two games: the final in Bucharest and the Spanish Cup final.
I chose Bilbao because they are team specialised in knock-out rounds rather than a week-by-week championship. Their style of play is based on possesion, but most of all on hard pressing. They cannot sustain the high rythm necessary for this to work in the long run, as players get tired. But they can however concentrate their effort for a few crucial games. Manchester United and Schalke 04 can attest to that.
