With Deccan's loss to the Punjab Kings XI two days ago, went any slim hope of qualifying for the play-offs. They now have four games to rescue some pride but its likely their players will already be looking ahead to their respctive journeys home and commitments elsewhere.

The Deccan line up has been in disarray and a state of flux from the first week and this lack of stability has cost them dear. Delhi lost top spot after losing to the Kolkata Knight Riders and they'll want to recover the leadership against the table's bottom side today. Kevin Pietersen has been replaced and time will tell just how big his loss is to this Daredevils side. KP has been replaced by David Warner who will be ready to play in this game.

This is a new venue for DD - and they don;t have time to get used to it as the games come thick and fast now. The game against Kings XI told us it's a fair batting wicket and a score around 170 is within the compass of these sids.

Delhi are low odds, but there aren't many straws to clutch at in making a case for any result other than a Daredevils win.

It's proved to be a treacherous business backing Deccan Top Batsman market, but one thing I'm convinced of: Sangakkara has lost the plot and won't be carrying my rupees (cue 50+ innings by Sangakkara). Instead, I'm going to chance Patel who should be in at 3 or 4 and face enough balls to do some damage.
