I already took outrights bet on Janko Tipsarevic to win this tournament in Madrid since odds on him are great value, and the same I think for this semifinal. After he played really well last couple days, after he beat Gilles Simon and then also world best player Novak Djokovic (in straight sets), in y opinion Janko should have more chances today against Federer than these 7.29.
As I already said in preview for tournament winner, there is important factor of this blue clay in Madrid to which all players complained, except Janko who said already at the start of the tournament that this clay is pretty much different and it is much harder to play on it, but still it suits for him.
Tipsarevic's service was amazing and he left Djokovic yesterday without any chance. Of course against Federer (who will be very motivated after both, Nadal and Djokovic lost its matches) will be much harder for Tipsarevic. Still, if he repeats tennis from previous days, then in my opinion Tipsarevic will have decent chance today.
Generally, Tipsarevic had no success against Federer in the past. It was 0-4 in mutual meetings, but it was not always easy for former world No.1. We remember mutual meeting from Australian Open couple years ago when Federer won only after 10-8 in 5th set. Since then, Janko has improved much and maybe it's time for his first win against Federer.
Two bets are: Tipsarevic ML at odds 7.29 and Tipsarevic (+1.5) sets at odds 2.79.
