A first time meeting between these two players. I'm giving more chances for win to the French player for several reasons. First of all I believe he is a better player. He is now ranked at 278. but in 2008. he was on the verge of entering top 10, ranked at 12. He missed entire last year and that's why his ranking is so poor. This year he is trying to return to form and already has a couple of decent wins (Feliciano Lopez for example...). Today he is playing in front of home crowd which should give him extra motivation. In first two rounds he beat two very quality players which are very hard to defeat on clay courts, Dutra da Silva and Machado, without losing a set. Very impressive. Lukas Rosol is ranked at 91. and his best ranking was 65. in August last year. He is three years younger than the Frenchman but it's pretty much obvious that he will never reach the results Mathieu had 4 years ago. Occasionally he makes some good results but his problem is inconsistency. He already won two matches on this challneger, coming back after losing first sets versus Goffin and Darcis, two very good Belgians. I think the odds are still very good for Mathieus's win, I guess they're going to drop during the day. Mathieu is clear favourite here...
