PETROVA TO WIN 2-0 @ 3/5
Final result: 0 - 2Profit: 0.00 - 9 = -9
Petrova is the class player in this duel, having won ten career titles to her opponent's none. Clay is probably her second best surface after hardcourts. An impressive server with powerful baseline ground strokes and even on the slower surface will occasionally volley to good effect. Inevitably lost to Serna Williams in 2nd round at Madrid Masters, but prior to that reached quarter-finals in both Charlestown and Estoril Open. Expect her to dominate her lesser experienced opponent from the start and win in straight sets.
Pironkova is five years the junior and raked 45th on WTA rankings. Lost in first round of Rome and Madrid tournaments this month; previously went out in qulifying round of Stuttgart and in first round in Budapest. Withdraw with injury from Barcelona tourney. Her wins came in earlier part fo year but yet to progress beyond 3rd round and only once gone beyond 2nd round W6/L10 season record.
Pironkova is out of form and low on confidence. Can't see any reason for a turnaround her against a better player.
