ANDREAS SEPPI TO WIN AT ODDS 1.58Final result: 3 - 0
Profit: 14.22 - 9 = 5.22
A great encounter between the russian and the italian. Seppi is the number 25 at ATP as Davydenko stays at 53rd position. They faced each other 5 times and it's 3-2 Davydenko. Seppi won the last one at 2011 and Davydenko won the games they played at clay but the last one was 3 years ago.
Seppi reached his career high right now. He showed experience made him improve his game a lot and he's probably playing the best tennis of his life.
He is holding a 11-4 record at clay this year and I only watched him bad at Madrid. He is coming from a great campaign at rome that ended up against Federer, but he won good players as Wawrinka and Isner before.
He also won Belgrade title and made a decent Bucharest reaching quarter finals.
Je improved his service a lot and I can see it as the main reason for his improvement overall.
Davydenko is just living the beggining of the end of his career. He is 31 years old now and he is playing a lot worse.
His record at clay is 4-4. He lost to Baker at Nice when he reached the semi final, it was a good campaign when he beat Isner and Istomin earlier.
But, it was the only good tournament he made so far. As he lost at Rome's 1st round and Munich's 1st round also.
As I said, Seppi is in the best shape of his career and I really don't think he will drop at Roland Garros 1st round. Davydenko is keeping an acceptable level despite his physical conditions, but we're talking about 5 set games and I really don't believe he has the needed to beat a player in such a good momentum.
