This is an interesting line up but am backing favourite as well as experienced Montanes over the impressive determined Kavcic.

Blaz Kavcic was not a favorite in the last match but as it turned was able to win in three sets. It was not surprise for me. There is no denying that Blaz Kavcic is in very good form. He won the challenger in Furth, defeated a good player in the final - Sergiy Stakhovsky. Blaz has won 8 matches in a row! It is great result but I am sure that he feels tired. What is important, he won all the matches in Monza in three sets. He had big problems in the last meeting against Veic.

Kavcic lost the first set, won second after a tie-break (7-3) and then capturing the third set 6-3. The match was a tough and long affair lasting 165 minutes! I think Blaz might be exhausted! On the other hand, I think that Albert Montanes is a better player. He has won 5 ATP titles, all on the clay, has played 5 times in the finall and his experience will show. Blaz has no ATP title and he is favourite! Is it a joke? He feels tired but Albert Montanes has much energy. He defeated Viola in the last match, won easy in two sets. Albert can play long rallies, plays one-handed backhand and could use this to his advantage to test Blaz stamina.
