AWAY WIN @ EVEN MONEY WITH BOYLE SPORTS (NOT PADDY POWER)
Final result: 2 - 3Profit: 12.00 - 6 = 6
The League Of Ireland resumes this weekend after a 3 week mid season break and we’re now getting to the point of the season when teams will either sink or swim. Unfortunately for Monaghan Utd they have already sunk and have withdrawn from the league leaving the Premier Division unbalanced and points being redistributed, which isn’t the first time this has happened under the FAI and unfortunately probably won’t be the last either. However, this week I’ve pinpointed 2 matches that I feel offer value and they are as follows:
Shelbourne vs Shamrock Rovers: Away win @ 2 with Boylesports:
Rovers have struggled under new manager Stephen Kenny who has shown his lack of experience of managing a big ambitious club and results leading into the break were poor. Shelbourne have started their return to top flight football solidly and on the face of it should give Rovers a genuine run for their money
However, I’m convinced Rovers will start to put an impressive run together and the break probably came at a good time for them. They can’t afford any further dropped points as Sligo look impressive at the top of the table but with the men form the West having a further week off with the withdrawal of Monaghan form the league this is a golden opportunity for Rovers to close the gap and I think they’ll take it
Please note this bet was entered as Paddy Power above due to me not being able to select Boylesports but PP only offer 1.91 so place the bet at Boylesports
Cork City vs Derry City: Home Win @ 2.63 with Bet 365:
This is a long trip for the men form the Brandywell to a venue they seldom fail to perform well on and I have a feeling the 2nd half of the season will see Derry continue to be inconsistent whilst I’m sure Cork will improve, having endured a difficult opening few weeks for them early in the campaign but have since stabalised things somewhat going into the break unbeaten in 7
Home advantage for me is vital here and I expect that to make the difference coupled with Derry’s traditional problem of restarting the season poorly which they do almost every season since the mid season break was introduced
Good Luck
