ENGLAND V ITALY EURO – 2012
This is a very hard game to bet on it but I have a few nice bets:
The first will be about the yellow cards:
In the first game against France, England had 2 yellow cards and France 0 = 2.
In the second game against Sweden, England had 1 yellow cards and Sweden 3 = 4.
In the third game against Ukraine, England had 2 yellow cards and Ukraine 3 = 5.
The average is: 3.67 yellow cards per a game.
In the first game against Spain, Italy had 4 yellow cards and Spain 3 = 7.
In the second game against Croatia, Italy had 2 yellow cards and Croatia 1 = 3.
In the third game against Ireland, Italy had 3 yellow cards and Ireland 4 = 7.
The average is: 5.67 yellow cards per a game.
So, if we look only about this statistic we can see that we are going to see probably minimum 5 yellow cards. If we don't look at the little things we can think it will be a nervous game (and its true) and with a lot of yellow card in it (doesn't have to be) but if we will search at the little thing we learn something else:
The Referee will be: Pedro Proença, this is the third game for him this tournament, in the first game: Spain-Ireland he pulled out 4 yellow cards and in the second game Sweden-France he pulled out 3 yellow cards.
For all the quarter finals games invited only the Referees who had control in their games and pulled out maximum 4 yellow cards per a game.
One more thing and very important:
England has 5 players with a yellow card: Gerard, Cole, Milner, Young and chamberlain.
Italy has 9 players with a yellow card: De Rossi, Balzaretti, Buffon, Motta, Montivio, Magio, Chiellini, Balotelli and Bonucci.
This is meaning that all of those 14 players is in danger and if they will get another yellow card they will miss the next game, and it can be the Semi-Final.
I think they will be careful so...
My pick: Under 5 yellow cards at odds 1.952
