I was waiting to assess the form and ability of Nadal in order to Get this bet done, but he was first to let the result speak for itself in his loss to Rosol. Murray so far was relatively untroubled. Looking at the draw till final he will meet in Semi Final most likely Tsonga vs whom he has good record on grass and who has some finger injury and it is unclear if it bothers him or not when the match vs Murray will go down to the wire. Ferrer or Del Potro in QF, both are most prone to do badly on grass, they don’t practice on it and their past results here show they weren’t comfortable here. As for Semis, if he is to play Tsonga it will be entertaining match, but I do rate Murray as favorite and if Tsonga is eliminated before the Semi Final, the task will be even easier. Nadal, vs whom Murray always struggled mentally, no matter the form of both on any given day, is out so the rest of the field is really beatable. What is more I don’t know if it was Goran Ivanisevic, physios or all of them decision to tank match vs Mahut in Queens and to lose all in Boodles exhibition, but it took off pressure from Murray shoulders of the very demanding UK supporters counting on their man to end around 80 years of waiting for winning Wimbledon. Quite nice odds. Very good chance.
