If this was on clay then theresonly one winner Ferrer but unfortunatly for the spainard it aint. Head to head they are level but with Ferrer winning all their clay matches and Murray winning their hard court matches. They are yet to meet on grass but this surface favours Murray rather than Ferrer as it will be faster and allow the scotsman to win cheap points on his serve which is bigger than Ferrers serve. Ferrer is poor at the net so wont be able to win short points often with the volley whereas Murray is capable of volleying well at the net. I see Murray being able to edge it here cos of his superior serve and all rounded game compared to Ferrers baseline defence and grinding attitude.

"Ferrer is poor at the net so wont be able to win short points often"....today he won 17/19 at the net...so i don't really get why he should be considered poor there...also it is not true that murray won all his games on hard...last year at barclays tournament in london ferrer won in straight sets...
