It's the qualification stage of Champions League 2012-2013. There are some interesting duels at this phase and one of them is Skenderbeu vs Debreceni.
The reigning albanian champions are for the 2nd consecutive time at this stage in europe hoping to do better this time around...
Ok,Debreceni is a better team in terms of quality having also participated in the groups phase a few years ago but still I bilieve that at least in the 1st leg Skenderbeu will prevail. Yes,the albanian teams have been performing below the expectations in Europe till now(not to say they've been a mess) with Teuta being thrashed from a modest georgian team 1-9 in overall and Flamurtari being beaten 0-3 from Honved Budapest with only Tirana passing into the next stage after handling with the amateurs from Luxembourg Grevenmacher. Nevertheless,be sure that only Skenderbeu is capable of making history for Albania,the targets for Skenderbeu are clear and now after winning the title in our main league for the 2nd consecutive time,the 3rd one in their history,The Snow Wolves are turning their focus to the international stage,determined to do well even there. Having a rich owner like Zeqo who is a successful businessman having actions at Red Bull,KF Skenderbeu has a high budget,well-paid players unlike the other teams in Albania. Furthermore unlike the other teams in our league whose average attendance doesn't go further than 800-900 supporters per match with the exceptions of some special matches,Skenderbeu is the only team which attracts more than 6000 fans per game and in special occassions the stadium is packed at it's full capacity,12000 supporters. There is no doubt that the stadium will be packed this time and the fans of the albanian champions are really noisy and unique.
Debreceni lost the opportunity to lift the first trophy of the new season a few days ago in the Supercup match vs Videoton and it remains to be seen the effect of that loss. To conclude,I think that the will factor and the support of the fans favours Skenderbeu here and the high odds on them shouldn't be missed for any reason!!!

DVSC-TEVA's plane will take off tomorrow morning at 8.30am from Debrecen Airport to Albania. Ibrahima Sidibe will be missing the match due to suspention as he was sent off few years ago on a CL match. Selim Bouadla, Roguy Meye and Bence Ludanszki also have to miss the match due to injury.

It seems that the captain Shkembi won't play this match,however the talented youngster Kuli will take his place. The latter was really good during the friendlies.

Yeeeeeeeeeeeah!!! Skenderbeu did it!!! Bilieve me,the result could have easily been even 3-0 in favour of the albanians! There was only one team on the pitch in the first half with Skenderbeu hitting the post on one occassion. That is what we expected. I hope you made money like me. Thanks Dikisana!
