Javalin throw is a discipline that is more open than ever. A year ago Andreas Thorkildsen and Pitkamaki would have been the two clear favorites.

Know I feel Vesely has stepped up, and I think that he must be considered the small favorite since Thorkildsens form has been down for a long while.

Vesely is the leader in the Diamond League standings, and his level has been improving year after year. Now his personal best is 88.11 m, a while of Thorkildsens best, but world leader this year.

I would give him about 35-36 procent chance of winning the Javelin throw, and 6 units on the way to winning from me to him ;-).
