Michael Phelps can't repeat his 8 Gold Medals from Beijing because he dropped the 200 freestyle but he can become the Greatest Olympian ever. He has 16 medals overall. The record is 18 medals.

Phelps is huge favorite to take the gold at 100m Butterfly and 200m Butterfly.

200m Individual Medley will be very interesting event to watch. Phelps should have a little more than Lochte and take another gold medal.

4x200m Freestyle Relay - The Americans haven't lost this event at a major international competition since 2003 so this event should bring another gold medal for Phelps.

4x100m Medley Relay - The Americans have never lost this event at an Olympic Games so another gold medal for Phelps, five so far.

4x100 Freestyle Relay - The Australians should have to much speed for the Americans so they should win this event.

400m Individual Medley - This is my biggest doubt. Lochte is slight favorite but Phelps is the world record holder in the 400m Individual Medley.
