P. HARRINGTON 1-5: THE OPEN

In the last 20 majors Harrington has won 3 of them including 2 Open's in 2007 and 2008.
He's come close twice already this year to adding to his major titles finishing T8 and the Masters and T4 at the US Open.
Harrington claims the tougher courses suit his game and it's a marathon to keep in contention rather than a sprint to the top of the leaderboard.
His long game in recent weeks has been flawless and his finishes of T16 at the Scottish Open and T7 at the Irish Open would of been much better had he holed a few more putts.
Still keeping the ball in play will be the key this week and given how well Harrington has been playing tee to green I can see him being a major contender.
If the weather does turn nasty at any stage then Harrington is certainly a player who will relish the challenge.
