EURO QUALIFIER-EKRANAS TO BEAT SHAMROCK ROVERS @ 2.50 EXPEKT

Return leg of the Champions League qualifier, neither team will get through the 3rd qualifying round once they meet quality opposition however here I see the Lithuanian champions prevailing, the odds are v good for a home win with Expekt @ 2.50.

I have placed a smallish stake here only because I am unsure of the match up quality between the teams. I can see from last year that the hosts were knocked out by BATE Borisov from champions league who held their own in the group stage and proved to be better than expected. They then lost to Hopoel Tel Aviv in the europa league qualifiers however they beat them at home 1-0.

Shamrock had a great run to the Europa League group stage last season however they are not the same side this season as their league standing proves. I believe loss of manager and key players has affected them and they work on v small finances.

Recent form is v poor for Shamrock and tellingly Ekranas had a game postponed on Saturday in the league whilst Shamrock played on Friday meaning the hosts have more rest and Shamrock will be travelling to play 3rd game in a week. I think tiredness will set in and the hosts prevail, narrowly.
