It's time for the semi-final stage of the ATP tournament in Washington (hard courts).
In the first semi-final we gonna see Mardy Fish from the USA and Tommy Haas (Germany).
In the quarterfinal Mardy (ranked 15) won with Berankis 6:3. 6:1, while Haas defeated Kamke 6:1, 6:2. In the eralier round Fish managed to win with Phau, but after 3 sets. Generally, Haas makes a better impression on me and I'm going to bet on his win tonight.
Haas is ranked 36th and it must be said that he plays a good tennis recently: he reached a final in Hamburg, where he lost with Monaco and here he reached already semi-final. He has better results than Fish last weeks.
Fish is a specialist on the hard surface, but so far in the games with Haas he wasn't a winning side. Just to mention the last game in Memphis in 2007 or the match in Miami in 2005.
Ok, it was some time ago, but it lies somewhere deep in their psyche, so I think it is akind of advantage for Haas.
