Dolgopolov showed how hot-cold he can be. He has won tournament in Washington just to be soundly beaten by Stepanek in Toronto, winning just 4 games in entire match. Maybe it was quite fatigue and wind and some scare before Del Potro being next. No matter, Davydenko has not played on hard so far and his last two matches, especially the one against Nishikori in Olympics give some glimmer of hope he will at least put some resistance here. I think that he planned his calendar as needed some rest after Olympics skipping some points to defend in Washington and Montreal (if he is concerned about his ranging anymore). His record here suggests that he does well here. In 8 appearances he has lost in the first round just 3 times and in 2 of them he won one set. Only his very first match here was awful loss to Ferrero. Dolgopolov lost here 2 out of 2. I think that this should be really entertaining match.
