Both are 22 years old, but for Klahn it will be 3rd US Open, for Trungelliti the first one. What is more the latter has not played matches on hard courts in his career, including quals on challenger level he has a record of 6-5 (win-loss) and even before US Open he opted to play low-profile challengers on clay instead practicing on hard courts. Klahn last year lost in Final qualifying round to Dancevic (then in good form), as I wrote many times he was top ranked USA junior both in singles and doubles and as most of Americans he practicing mostly on hard courts. Experience both on the surface and this event is with the home player. Trungelliti is here after veteran Chiudinelli retired being down 1-6 after first set, so I don’t think it is any indicator of his form. Dont get idea why odds are going up here, maybe he will give away the first set...
