Cedrik-Marcel Stebe - Viktor Troicki

OVER 3.5 SETS ARE EXPECTED

In his opening match Viktor Troicki will play against young German Cedrik-Marcel Stebe. This will be their first career meeting. Troicki is not having his best year on the tour. He was eliminated at Australian Open and Roland Garros in the second round but managed to make a good run at Wimbledon, reaching the 4th round where he was defeated by Novak Djokovic.

Viktor Troicki is an expert for long matches on a Grand Slam tournament. At Australian Open he played 2 matches, both of them in 5 sets. At Roland Garros he also played 3 matches, both of them in 4 sets. At Wimbledon both of the matches in the 1st and the 2nd round were played in 5 sets.

Cedrik-Marcel Stebe was eliminated in the 1st round at Australian Open and Wimbledon and reached the 2nd round at Roland Garros. In Australia he lost in 4 sets from Lleyton Hewitt, in Paris he lost in 4 sets from Jo-Wilfried Tsonga and in London he lost in 4 sets from Marin Cilic.

Those were all great players, clear favorites in those matches but Stebe made them fight for the win. He is a great talent, still young just 21 and he will become even better. He can trouble Troicki and i think that he can win here. But still i'm going with over 3.5 sets as a safe bet.
