Both players deserve this Final.

Djokovic had a relatively weak draw with only Del Porto and Ferrer being top 10 players while the rest of his opponents were way outside top 20 (Wawrinka retired so I don’t count him).

Murray on his way faced all big servers Dodig, F. Lopez, Raonic, Cilic, Berdych. The way he handled all of them was really impressive. He either won very easily (Dodig, Raonic) or was playing his best on key points (Tb’s against Berdych an F. Lopez). He confirmed that he is one of the best returners in the game.

Both players showed that their serve and return are at their very best here, but also showed some bad moments during the matches. I think that with so much at stake (Djokovic chasing top 1 and additional money for being best player during US hard courts season, Murray chasing his first Grand Slam win).

Both will have great and bad moments and with Murray under Ivan Lendl as coach has added some mental edge and tactics during matches, so I think he won’t be easily beaten even if he loses opening or even opening 2 sets. I am sure it will go to at least 4 sets, but I think there is a big possibility of a 5 setter and with both knowing that holding serve is of most importance, we will see many games.

Keep in mind that Djokovic has not faced combination of very good server and very good defender (combine Del Porto and Murray and you will get one). Murray is just that right now.

Good Luck, can't decide on the winner here as mental aspect of Murray game improved greatly recently.

Thanks for your pick and good luck. While i appreciate your opinion and pick I can't see this game going over 36 in my most optimistic prognosis. Nolan is in killer form. Looking for a three setter here and i already made my mind on Nolan -4,5 games for 1,85.
