Romain Juan won both their past meetings, both played this season, one on a similar surface, won in 2 sets and one on grass won after 3 sets so we can say that he has the head to head advantage but I don't trust him because had some medical problems in last period and hasn't managed anything important since has reached in the quarterfinals at Bath challenger in March.
The German is not something to be afraid if you are a top 100 player but when is having a good day is capable to cause some surprises as the one against Ilhan, Gimeno Traver or Sijsling, Hajek, Bautista Agut, Rochus, Kunitsyn and Blake or when has took a set from Bennetteau, Bozoljac or Russell.
All I am saying is that the French might be the favorite but the over line is from my point of view the better option here.
