KalPa - Jokerit

KALPA TO WIN AT ODDS 2.25

KalPa and Jokerit both are teams who should be at least in top-6 at the end of the season. Their materials are very good but in this match their situation is different:

KalPa should be without their captain Sami Kapanen, but they should get their most important scoring forward Sakari Salminen back. Kapanen hurted his finger in saturday's game against Tappara. Salminen hasn't played in the first two games this season, but it was nothing but a precaution to let him rest these two matches. He played great pre-season with Kuparinen and Lehkonen and I think that when he comes back to roster, Kuparinen and Lehkonen are going to play better too. In addition Jasse Ikonen is also injured, but it's not a main injury for KalPa.

Jokerit has bad situation just now. After the fights in pre-season game against IFK their players got suspensions so Jarkko Ruutu and Semir Ben-Amor are suspended from the match against KalPa. Their coaches, head coach Tomi Lämsä and assistant coach Tomek Valtonen got also suspensions so Jokerit has their assistant coach Hannu Virta as a head coach in this match. Jokerit has also bad situation with injuries: They are without Nichlas Hardt, Tomi Mäki, Ben Eaves and Antti-Jussi Niemi and Riku Hahl is propably also out due to inguinal injury. That lead the team to the point where their defense will be way too shaky against a team like KalPa. Their offense is pretty wide, but with those injuries there will be junior players as a center.
