Gabashvili played in Davis Cup in the weekend in Brasil. He lost in 4 to Bellucci. It was the second time in a row he lost to Brazilian player after his loss to Dutra in the 1st round of US Open. His form is nothing but poor. He even lost to Guccione who is nowhere near any form. His record in this tournament is quite the same, only once in 7 attempts he managed to pass 1st round here and it was against Volandri who has no ability to play on this surface and even that win was reached in 3 sets. Fidirko has reached main draw of ATP tournament for the first time and he has done so in very impressive way. In three matches in deciding set (2 times it was a 3rd one) he allowed opponents to win just one game. So it seems that if he is ruthless against players at the ability close to his, then it will be no problem against better player. Gabashvili is really unstable, even during one match. I do think he will have big problems to win in two here.
