Clay courters tend to pitch the ball a little short and when Benneteau sees a short ball, he dispatches it. Benneteau generally has more punch on his shots than Monaco as well. Both have good serves, it is simply about the drive and depth that Monaco lacks. Benneteau really is one of the only players who really goes after the short ball that I've seen in this tournament. Don't think Monaco's victory over Nishikori was anything special, the Japanese player is not playing anywhere near his ranking at the moment. Both are very smart players, but I would get on Benneteau for sure.
