The battle for the trophy in Bangkok turned into a French affair after both Gilles Simon and Richard Gasquet qualified to the final. Simon already won the title here in 2009 and he will hope to repeat the performance. He played great at this tournament without losing any set yet . He defeated Monfils and Tipsarevic who was in a fine form. Gasquet leads 5-1 at the h2h record against Simon but that's the only advantage for him. He already lost 2 sets at this tournament, against Dimitrov and Nieminen and I don;t think he is strong enough to grab the trophy.
