There have been quite a few surprise results in the past few days (a fact that is reflected by my current yield balance). Tomorrow, however we should see a result which is no surprise to anyone. Two teams who have underachieved badly in the Mets and the Marlins clash in the third last game of their seasons.

Miami's John Johnson is one of the leagues most under rated pitchers. He has thrown well for a majority of the season but has been let down badly by his teams poor form and a lack of run support. He goes into tomorrows match with a 3.81 era which is actually quite good however he has only been able to win 8 games as a starter and has racked up 14 losses. Johnson enters the game vs the Mets coming of a home loss, a little known fact is that Johnson has not lost 2 in a row at home since 2008.

Opposing Johnson will be Mets rookie Jeurys Familia. This game will be Familias first Major Leage start. In AAA he has hardly set the world on fire posting a 9-9 record to go with a 4.73 era. In several relief appearances for the Mets Familia has amassed a huge 8.64 era which gives you some idea of the struggles this guy has had so far in his career.

It is highly likely the young Met is going to learn some hard lessons in his first start and if his numbers are anything to go by he'll be lucky to make it out if the second inning. I can see a big win coming up for the Marlins unless the baseball gods decide to frown on me again. Here's hoping they don't.
