PERTH WILDCATS TO WIN WITH +3.0 HANDICAP AT ODDS 1.90
Final result: 72 - 93Profit: 9.50 - 5 = 4.5
The Australian NBL kicks off today with a grand final rematch between champions New Zealand and the Perth Wildcats. The Breakers have made only one change in the off season adding quality import Will Hudson, however they did lose quality veteran centre Gary Wilkinson. Hudson adds pace ti the centre position and he is a full court player which should give the Breakers offence another dimension. His addition should soften the blow of losing Wilkinson who not only dominated the paint but was also a perimeter threat.
Perth have made few changes to their roster in the off season losing Centre Luke Nevill but adding promising young New Zealand guard Everard Bartlett. The Perth squad is solid and well coached and have had an excellent pre season winning 7 straight games, they are also very motivated to get some revenge against the Breakers, a team with whom they have developed a fierce rivalry. Perth are also a very good road team winning 9/14 last year away from home.
The loss of Wilkinson is big for the Breakers and the transition of Hudson fitting into their offence will determine whether or not they compete with Perth who are championship favourites this season. Perth are the form team at he moment and head into this match extremely motivated to gain revenge against New Zealand. I'm tipping a narrow Perth win however have added the 3 point handicap.
