Lovely odds on this match. Some bookmakers have set this line at 17.5 with odds of 1.73 so to get these odds are fantastic.
Both players are playing great darts this tournament and i cant split them in this match up. I think it is a 50/50 match but dont want to go for the Dolan win as both players are prone to being affected by things.
Dolan may be affected by Pipe's throwing style and with Dolan being crowd favourite, we know he can be affected by the noise generated by them.
I can see each player winning their own throw, and with me not knowing who will throw first i cant predict a winner.
Dolan has been brilliant on his doubles so i see him winning most of his legs but Pipe has been good in his all round game.
With each set having a possible 5 legs and over 5 sets, there is a possibility of 25 legs. 17 is all that is needed for this tip.
I cant see this being over in 3 sets, but even if one player wins 3-1 then set scores of 3-1,1-3,3-2,3-1 (which is quite low set scores) then this bet comes in.
I do see a 5 set thriller, probably to Dolan. A 5 set thriller would easily bring this bet in.

They are 1.83 for Over 16.5 at Stan James.
Because the odds for this match i saw were actaully for UNDER 16.5 and i wrote, and wanted over 16.5
It does seem to me that this is a perfectly valid bet at those odds at Stan James. Please explain clearly why this bet should be voided and why the other one should stand martinmay21?
