NEWTON TO BEAT NICHOLSON

Newton has suprised me a little in this competition. Sometimes he can be scrutinised for his head not being in certain tournaments, which is why i steered away from early bets involving him but he has played well so far so i am keen to bet on him now.

I thought maybe White may beat him as his consistent game has been good for a while but Newton threw some good darts beating him 3-1.
Newton won the first set 3-0 hitting a 151 and 100% of his doubles.
Although White hit back with the 2nd set, Newton was devastating on his doubles, finishing the match on 50%, with one point in the match on 78%. In a format like this, hitting your doubles is important and Newton has been spot on.

Nicholson beat Osborne but it was a mediocre performance from both players , with Nicholson missing 7 doubles in a row at one point. This will be punished by Newton.

I think Newton's new found confidence and doubling prowess will get his this win. Nicholson, the self-proclaimed bad boy of darts, will have the crowd on his back and has been known to play poorly when he goes behind and the crowd get on his case.
