VAN GERWN TO BEAT HAMILTON
Final result: 3 - 2Profit: 16.20 - 9 = 7.2
Nice odds on this match with other bookies offering 1.64 so get on with Paddy Power.
Van Gerwen is now the favourite to lift the Gran Prix title and i somewhat agree.
He has been playing fantastic darts and his confidence is immense, he doesnt think anyone can beat him, and he may be right.
Van Gerwen stumbled a little in the first match, losing the first set to Lloys but since then he has been majestic knocking out the world champion in the 2nd round, and in some style.
He beat Lewis 3-1 and only a 170 out of nothing stopped it from being 3-0 to Van Gerwen.
Hamilton's has been consistent, but then he always has been. His mechanical throwing style doesnt seem to stray but it lacks the precision that the likes of Van Gerwen are able to inject at times.
Hamilton came past Beaton 3-2 in a tight affair in the 2nd round. It was Beaton's poor consistency that gave Hamilton the win as Beaton could have easily won that match. Hamilton averaged 5 points better than Beaton, even though Beaton easily outscored him in the 180's department.
This is what i am talking about. Hamilton will average the same througout the match in all areas, which wont give him much on Van Gerwen's throw but if Van Gerwen ups his game on the Hamilton throw once in a while then Hamilton will be in trouble.
Van Gerwen's sheer raw talent, flamboyancy and sheer desire not to lose will be enough to beat the robotic Hamilton,
