PERTH WILDCATS TO WIN AT ODDS 1.90
Final result: 58 - 82Profit: 19.00 - 10 = 9
Week 2 of the Australian NBL sees championship favourites Perth travel to Townsville to play the Crocs. The visiting Wildcats enter this one on the back of one of their best defensive efforts in round 1. They travelled to Auckland and put the clamps on the back to back champion Breakers restricting them to just 72 points. At one point during the match Perth forced the Breakers into 9 turnovers going on a 12 minute 40-9 run. The finished the game strongly winning by 21.
This week Perth faces a Townsville team who are still trying to gel as a unit. They struggled at Cairns last week and were trailing 72-49 at the final break before a late rally limited the damage to 12 points in the end. The Crocs are sweating on the arrival of their 2 new American imports who are still awaiting their European clearance. All this doesn't bode well for the Crocs who have a 2-10 record against the cats since Perth coach Rob Beverage took over the reigns 3 seasons ago.
As it stands Perth have won their last 4 against Townsville including the last 2 away, winning all 4 by a combined 96 points. Needless to say the Wildcats have the edge over the Crocs and have the more skilled and experienced line up. With or without their imports Townsville will struggle to produce enough points to challenge the defensively superior Perth side. The odds available at most agencies of around 1.90 represents great value, jump on if you can.
