FARAH TO WIN SPORTS PERSONLITY 2012 W/O WIGGINS

Final result: 0 - 0
Profit: 0.00 - 7 = -7

Wiggins is favourite for the Sports Personality of the year, with some bookmakers paying out after his olympic heroics.
The bookies obviously didnt count on Mo Farah, Jessica Ennis or Andy Murray doing so well.
This is an olympic year so we can assume only an athlete will win it.

Murray, although won a silver and gold, and won the U.S open wont get a look in as he has the opportunity every year to win it, the olympians dont. If he won Wimbledon then maybe he has a shot. A tennis player hasnt won it since 1997 either.
He is 2nd favourite @4/1

Ennis smashed the women's hepathalon and was promoted as the ‘Golden Girl’ of the London 2012 games which has massively boosted her profile. However, her 1 gold medal cant outshine Wiggins and Farah's 2 each. There is a reason why she is 12/1

Farah win was celebrated all around England more than any athlete this year, with his iconic celebration, the 'Mobot'.
He Becamme only the fifth man in history to win gold in the 5,000 and 10,000 metres. Farah also finished third in Sports Personality last year so we know the public like him. He has done well to boost him profile since the olympics being the new face of Virgin’s Media’s massive advertising campaign and has already appeared in hit ITV show The Cube, where he became the first person ever to beat the Cube and won £250,000 for his foundation. He is 11/2 but offers great value for the outright win with Wiggins the only one i think that can beat him.
He is 11/2

We have to remember that in an olympic year, the winner is going to be the olympian that has the greatest achievement. I think Farah achieved more than Wiggins but am happy to back him w/o Wiggins @ big odds as the favourite otherwise is Murray and i cannot see him winning it in an olympic year.

Wiggins is too short to get involved @8/11 even for the outright win and believe Farah could even win.

Get on Farah before the odds drop. Ill be putting 7 units on Farah w/o wiggins and 3 as the outright winner

Iconic maybe. But alot of people hate him, no one hates Farah. Farah actually completed the best feat in the olympics, even above Wiggins, yet he finishes 4th. The public got it wrong!

nah, come on, murray has been an iconic figure for ages in the british sports world so not surprising to see him up there with all those fans.

Joke. Murray more votes than Farah?! Behave!

with or without, i think Mo has a good chance and it's worth the shot because it's not 100% known to who is favourites until the votes comes in.

sorry, i thought this was the bet just for farah to win. i think this bet will come in

its worth a cheeky bet, when my other tip is farah w/o wiggins which offers great value and will cover the stake on this bet should that one come in

This is onto a winner but never the less, it is Wiggins who might just get the nod after all. If anyone was to get the next personality year award then it could be Mo, but could it even be the whole of the olympic team up for the award. Having said that, this will be going to be interesting.
