John Isner - David Goffin

Goffin showed good form in RG when he was beaten only by Federer and they same as in Wimbledon where he won against Tomic (and Levine) before losing to Fish. He was unlucky with the draw facing Berdych in the first round. Best amassment what he is up to is to look his 1st round result. Here he trashed Andujar 6-2 6-2, so he is here to play. Isner defends a lot of points in Paris and there courts are faster than here. Last year Isner lost here in the first round against Vasek Pospisil. It seems it is a run-out before Paris for Isner. What is more he is not in good form recent losses to Kohlschreiber and Stepanek were below top 10 standard where Isner aims at. Goffin is tricky player and can do some damage here, even his win won’t surprise me, but I count on a game better result for him than it was in their first ever meeting in Isner home tournament Winston-Salem.
