BEST SCHALKE 04 VS ARSENAL PREDICTION

Draw
Tipped at: 3.91 - 6th Nov 08:30
Champions League match between the teams on Schalke 04 and Arsenal FC.The team on Schalke 04 is with good chances to qualify in the next stage with one win today over their main opponent for 1st place team on Arsenal FC.These two teams in Group B are together with Olympiakos Pireus and Montpellier HSC,but these two are with small chances for the first two places.Arsenal FC in this match coming to not lose again.Their team lost 0:2 at home with two late goals on Huntelaar and Afellay and make the chances on Schalke 04 solid for that to qualify. One draw today is a good result for the both teams i think because they will play in the next two matches versus weaker opponents and that is mean bigger chances to win. Both teams to score and draw is a good bets today i think.
Klaas Jan Huntelaar has scored 3 goals in 3 matches in this tournament this season

Group B is shaping up with Schalke 04 on 7 points taking on Arsenal on 6 points in Germany this week. Schalke 04 2 weeks ago put 2 past Arsenal in the reverse fixture beating Arsenal who were unbeaten in 16 at home in the Champions league. Schalke since though went on to lose away to Hoffenheim at the weekend which makes me think they had one eye on the midweek clash. Schalke will certainly not be fazed by that though and they must be strong favourites going into this game. Schalke boast some amazing attacking talent in Huntelaar, Affellay, Farfan, Hotlby, Draxler etc, which Arsenal can always find a goal as did against Manchester United. I see Schalke winning this one 2-1 or 3-1.

Bet – (7)Over 2.5 goals @ 1.88 with 12Bet
Bet – (2)Schalke 04 @ 1.91 with Ladbrokes

After beating the Gooners at home Schalke currently top the group with 7 from their 3 games played so far with Arsenal just behind with a 6 point return. Schalke play Arsenal at home tonight and then play the team from Greece at home next, which means if they win tonight they would secure qualification and then a win in their next game would probably secure qualification. However I don't see this happening, I expect Arsenal to spoil the party for now by holding the German side to at least a draw in this game.

I will take to picks for this game with the first being this one for Arsenal not to lose the game and the next for a correct score of 1-1.

With so much at stake here for both sides, they will both want to qualify in top spot, think both sides can score in this game however i don't think either one of these sides will lose this game

Group B

Schalke is currently at the top of this Group B with 2 wins and 1 draw, goal difference 6:3. Last CL game they won in London what was very big surprise and tonight they welcome Arsenal in theirs Gelsenkirchen Arena.
In German Bundesliga 1 they are playing nice football. They are currently second with 20 points.

Arsenal is currently 2nd in Group B with 2 wins and 1 loss, goal difference 5:4. They opened this season very good with wins against Montpellier (2:1) and Olympiakos (3:1) but as I mentioned they surprisingly lost game in London against Schalke.
In domestic league they have lot of mixed results. Currently they are on 7th place with 9 points behind first in league Man. Utd.
In my opinion they should more concentrate on CL and tonight they have nice opportunity to revenge for loss in London.

Head-2-head:
24.10.12 Arsenal - Schalke 0 : 2
30.10.01 Schalke - Arsenal 3 : 1
19.09.01 Arsenal - Schalke 3 : 2

6 units on Arsenal win
3 units on Arsenal win
1 unit on correct score (1:2, 1:3 or 1:4)
The toughest game to predict for tomorrow. Schalke won last game against Arsenal in London but this weekend lost 2-3 away to Hoffenheim putting an end to their 6 straight wins in all competitions. For sure, they have the power to score and curiously enough the odds for a home win are dropping.

Arsenal are still out of form and since playing Schalke home they managed to win just 1-0 against QPR, conceded 5 goals in the cup fixture against Reading but managed to win and lost to Manchester United away.

Lately, Arsenal's attack are struggling to score goals. Except the cup game, the managed only 2 goals in 4 games. On the other hand, Schalke's defense conceded 3 goals over the weekend and with Arsenal having much quality upfront I hope they can bag a goal or two.

Arsène Wenger has called on his Arsenal side to revive their creativity ahead of the crucial Champions League Group B game at Schalke on Tuesday.

Over the years, the Frenchman has continually fashioned attractive, free-flowing sides that always manufacture a multitude of chances. Sometimes they have missed openings, sometimes their attacking attitude has left them vulnerable at the back. But opportunities have always knocked.

Right now, however, the manager admits his side needs a shot of their old inspiration. Meanwhile, on the flipside, he will want to retain the best defensive record of all the 92 English clubs.

"Yes, if you look at our overall performance at the back we are indeed good,” said Wenger. “In fact we are still the best defence in the league if you look at the goals conceded.

“But at the moment we don't have to focus too much on that.

"I think what is most important right now is that we find our game back. Our game is about creating chances, about going forward, about having an offensive drive.

"That, at the moment, is missing a bit.

“I believe I have a team of great players and perhaps they have forgotten a little bit how good they are.

"What is most important is that we play again with our enthusiasm, desire to create chances and enjoy our game, more than thinking about if we concede a goal or not.

“In the past we have been criticised for giving chances away but we are not used to being criticised for not creating because we have a team based on that. That’s why I think it's important we come back to what our game is all about.”

Yes, flair is Wenger’s trademark, his USP and his most cherished footballing commodity.

Any defeat at Manchester United hurts but it was the manner of the weekend loss that mattered most and that is why the manager is prioritising the performance over everything else in Germany.

“We have analysed Saturday,” he said. “We have watched it, spoken about it. We know that we didn't play as well as expected. There is only one way to respond to that and it is to come out with a good performance.

“Result is always linked to performance. You cannot go into the game and think ‘no matter about the performance, we just want a result’. We want to think about playing well, that's what we focus on.”

That is Wenger’s way and it has served Arsenal wonderfully well over the past 16 years. The current predicament is unusual but far from unique and remains eminently solvable. There is just too much magic in the feet of his team’s conjurors for them not to start casting spells once more.

And Arsenal could do with a bit of wand-waving in Gelsenkirchen. After three games, Schalke lead Group B with seven points, Wenger’s men are one behind but Olympiacos are within striking distance with three.

Head-to-head record counts above goal difference in the Champions League group stage so even a narrow victory would leave the German side with an advantage in what is shaping up to be a tight finish. You have to think that the winner on Tuesday would be confident of finishing top while the loser would have questions over their very qualification.

And Wenger will be very aware Arsenal’s last game in the group takes them to Athens.

Schalke were good value for their 2-0 win at Emirates Stadium a fortnight ago. Huub Stevens has fashioned a pacy, direct, clever side and has his own wizards in the form of Jefferson Farfan, Ibrahim Afellay and Klaas-Jan Huntelaar.

At the weekend, they lost for only the second time this season when they went down 3-2 at Hoffenheim. But Schalke have scored twice in 13 of their 15 games this term so, unless Arsenal can shut them out (something only Bayern Munich have done), the visitors will have to create those opportunities the manager so desires.

“Schalke are a very good side,” said Wenger. “You can see that in their league position.

“They are a very tight team but we have learned from that. We did not have a lot of chances against them at Emirates Stadium and so we have got to switch better from defence to attack.

“They did not have many chances either but they had clear-cut ones and that’s what we of course want to stop.

“But, as I said, I believe for us it’s important that we create more than we do at the moment. Our game was always about that and we have to worry about being better at our style of play.”

The only change to the squad from Saturday is the omission on Aaron Ramsey because of a groin problem. Theo Walcott has travelled but his involvement is in doubt due to sickness.

Tuesday is big for Arsenal. It was always going to be a bigger game than Saturday – purely because the time for recovery in this competition is much shorter.

Difficult spells occur in every season. They often emerge slowly and, though they can end the same way, the fast-track recovery is a dramatic performance on an away ground.

There is an opportunity at Schalke on Tuesday; a chance to snatch back the initiative in the season.

And it is foolish to think that Arsène Wenger’s Arsenal will struggle to create chances for very much longer.

Team news:

Schalke: Papadopoulos (elbow), Metzelder (abductor)

Arsenal: Ramsey (groin), Gibbs (thigh), Rosicky (tendon), Oxlade-Chamberlain (hip), Gervinho (ankle), Fabianski (ankle), Diaby (thigh)

A lot of people are favouring the home win here, which I understand given recent form but I think Arsenal will take something from this game.

Arsenal have been inconsistent this season. They started off pretty solidly but have had some disappointing results recently - losing 2-1 to Schalke in the reverse of this fixture and being soundly beaten (despite the close 2-1 scoreline) by Man Utd at the weekend. It's probably not suprising given the new signings are still bedding in and Van Persie has left.

Another defeat to Schalke would put Arsenal under real pressure to get out of the group. I think they will improve enough to get something against Schalke. After all, if Montpellier can pick up a draw here, I fancy Arsenal to pick something
