This is the semi-final badminton fixture between the British Chris Adcock/ Imogen Bankier and World No 1 Maa/Jin/ Chen in the French Open 2012.

No doubt the Chinese are heavy favourites in the match but I am expecting an upset here. Maa jin/Chen won the Denmark Open last week in a gruelling encounter with the Indonesians. Maa Jin also won the women's doubles in the Denmark Open last week.

They have been playing a match almost every week now and I feel fatigue can become a factor here for the Chinese. They do deserve a good day off in Paris I feel.

On the other hand Chris Adcock/Bankier after a terrible Olympic failure are finally playing good badminton in this tournament. yesterday they took down the Indonesians which I felt was obvious due to the Eid Celebrations, they needed a day off too I suppose.

So I feel if Chris Adcock and Imogen really play a good attacking game and if Imogen can win the battle at the net against Maa Jin, they do have a good chance to be in the finals tomorrow.

As for the Chinese who are the heavy favourites anyway if they decide to relax and enjoy Paris on a Sunday, this would then become a winning bet.
