After dissapointing last season and no euroleague spot this year Galatasaray underwent coaching and player changes and are now doing much better. They won three Cup games in a row, beating Fenerbahce in the end by five points and they have also taken two comfortable wins the league. They are rich club and they aim to win Eurocup and league this season.

Anadolu efes have also started the season well. They have won four straight games in TBL and euroleague while their loss game in hands of Armani Milano where they lost by 15 points. They have a very busy schedule compared to Galatasaray and it's kind of close to what happens in many leagues right now, where big names have too much on their plate. Also in Turkish league there is a rule that only a number of foreign players can play on the court so it gives edge to Galatasaray as home teams local bench players don't get much playing time in big league.
