Very interesting match and very hard to predict the final outcome. Still I am gonna back the Japanese. More or less the head to head balance is 3-0 fro Soeda improved significantly his game and break in the first fifty last year. He is typical baseline hitter who prefer to stays longer in the rallies and more rarely to explode with high speed winner. Giraldo is clay courts specialist, but he is playing relative well on hard courts and has good serve. Still he lost his first match of the year versus F.Mayer in straight sets and Soeda showed very good form in Chennai reaching the quarter finals, where he lost from the future champion Tipsarevic. I think this match will be very close, but the more experienced player on hard courts is Soeda and I back him in this one.
