Chelsea visit the fortress that is the Britannia Stadium. Not a happy hunting ground for ex Liverpool manager Benitez who saw his high flying teams routinely come unstuck against these pragmatists who display superb powers of organisation and defensive discipline.
I would expect Chelsea to adopt a cautious approach being aware of the set piece dangers Stoke present. If Torres starts there is always a chance of the visitors drawing a blank particularly after what may be a difficult midweek League Cup game against Swansea.
Stoke will be better rested and ready for the fight and will view a draw as a good result. The last 4 matches have been low scoring affairs with narrow 1-0 wins for Chelsea at home and two successive draws at Stoke, 0-0 and 1-1.
I will also place 1 point on the 1-1 draw.
