Chelsea visit the fortress that is the Britannia Stadium. Not a happy hunting ground for ex Liverpool manager Benitez who saw his high flying teams routinely come unstuck against these pragmatists who display superb powers of organisation and defensive discipline.

I would expect Chelsea to adopt a cautious approach being aware of the set piece dangers Stoke present. If Torres starts there is always a chance of the visitors drawing a blank particularly after what may be a difficult midweek League Cup game against Swansea.
