SPURS TOO GOOD FOR RANGERS

The Christmas period has come and gone in the Premier League with no lack of surprises. With their shock win at Chelsea, QPR have in fact pulled off what was probably the most shocking result of the entire season. The win is vital for the club in a multitude of respects but the fact remains that Harry Redknapp's side are still bottom of the league. Redknapp will indeed once again need more than a bit of magic if his side are to continue their fight back from relegation against his most recent former employers.

Despite a lack of snow, for fans of Tottenham Hotspur this Christmas was certainly a Lillywhite one. Spurs have quietly gone about collecting 10 points in their 4 most recent matches. Spurs' only dropped points coming in a 0-0 against a very solid Stoke City. After taking a good deal of criticism, Andre Villas Boas is beginning to transform his Tottenham side into quite a formidable opponent. I would would in fact argue that no side in the league is currently in better form than Spurs. Lennon and Bale are absolutely flying, the defense is looking quite solid having only conceded 2 in the last 5 matches, and with Parker returning in midfield, the side has added resolve and composure to balance their electric style.

I must qualify this tip by saying I have not had good luck backing QPR's opponents this year. In fact, it seems like every time I pick Rangers to loose, they always manage a result. I will not allow that to discourage me though. QPR are better under Redknapp, but the home side is once again out of their class here. I think visiting Tottenham will find a good deal of success in this match. QPR 0, Spurs 2.
